Our team brings together a wealth of interdisciplinary skills. SDG Samuel is fluent in design specific fields such as architecture, interiors, lighting, textiles, furniture design, and product design. We provide expert project management, programming, purchasing and budgeting services on commissions of every size and scope.

Working with developers, business principals, and their key personnel we serve as aesthetic liaisons to ensure that our creative interiors or exterior rooms meet the projects objectives. Our close working relationships, shared experiences and administrative synergy add significant value to the project process.

From the inception of a design commission through the design development, execution and beyond the Samuel Design Group team divides its time between job sites, vendor studios, showrooms and the Samuel Design Group studio/showroom to provide extensive and lasting value for clients.

THE TEAM LISA SAMUEL, ASID, designer and owner president of Samuel Design Group is a Santa Fe native. She has a degree in interior design is professionally licensed and has worked extensively as a designer for many years. Lisa started her training at the age of 19 in San Diego California. She has a 29 year history in lighting design and contract document production. This skill set is a valuable asset in conducting business with clients, architects, builders and other building trades. She was invited to participate in Designers Challenge for HGTV and was the winner of the challenge. She has also been honored with a commission for the New Mexico Museum Foundation to design and produce a special chair to commemorate all past chairmen of the prestigious board of the foundation.
LES SAMUEL, business consultant, brings a keen eye to the interior design world. His 35 year history in the fashion industry supports collaboration with Lisa Samuel.
JENNIFER ASHTON, Allied Member ASID, with an expertise in residential, retail and furniture design, Jennifer has degrees in both interior design and liberal arts. She has a unique design background as owner and designer of home and gourmet boutiques based in Los Angeles for over 15 years. “Designing artful retail spaces is amazing I love the energy and creative interaction of all of it .” Her creative expertise led her to a lengthy commission with Warner Bros. Studios, designing exclusive gifts for major movie productions. Interior Design was a natural progression from owning retail boutiques. Her passion is in all aspects of interior design from staging homes, selecting color palettes, to designing a furniture piece from scratch. She fulfills each client’s personal design vision with joy, economy and function, caring about every detail while maintaining an eye on the overall aesthetic. As a fashion follower with a colorful point of view she was commissioned in 2010 as costume buyer for 4 Latin movie productions based Santa Fe, New Mexico.
